Subject: How far south , east and west is the ground frozen ?

central - east central Minnesota -
How far south, east and west would I have to travel to get out of frozen ground land this time of year? How deep does the frost go down?  Just courious as I've always lived in frozen ground country. Currently, in open ground, frost about 8 inchs - not really hard due to recent rains before the last snow. In covered grass areas I think the rain took out what little frost was there or is very rotten and now some snow is insulating it from new frost. Just isn't cold enough to crack open the ground as in years past.
