If so what planter/drill do you use? What was your reasoning for using this method? What are the advantages? Any things that you don't like?

I had a three row system on 40" beds for soybeans last year and liked it mostly because I could widen my sprayer tractor (3 pt hitch mounted sprayer) to 80" and gain some turning radius. But this year I'm looking at growing some corn (1st time here in the mid-south for me) and will be going to 30" for corn and do not want two croppping systems with different row spacings. Do not prefer single row beans on 30" beds because of canopy reasons on some group 4 varieties. Your thoughts?
