Subject: a little advice re when to apply hog slurry......

Oskaloosa, Iowa 52577

I want to apply a lot of hog slurry to corn ground going to corn.

we are going to be pushed this fall to get everything done------I know that we will be late combining since corn is going to be late.  Very likely may have to split slurry applications into fall AND spring.

I also have some places that I want to moldboard plow.

We will be injecting the slurry 4-6 inches, along with covering disks throwing more than the usual amount of dirt.

Would you inject and then plow.........or plow first?

Does it really make a difference?........need to wait a few days before plowing if inject first?

Stalks have got to go under this year......had more un decomposed stalks last year than ever before.

Comments appreciated.

Thanks.
