| On Thursday the when Conab and USDA released their crop estimates for Brazilian Production the posters about lost the minds, Helped along by the likes of Karen Braun and Mr. Grain the victimization alarms were running a a fever pitch. How dare USDA put out numbers that far from Conab, it was all a fix to try to cut Inflation ( insert eyeroll ) well on Friday Safras and Mercado ( the largest private crop watcher in Brazil ) cam out with some crop estimates.
Soybean crop size
Conab -- 146.52
USDA -- 155.00
Safras and Mercado -- 151.25 raised production 2.65MMT from March report
Corn crop size
Conab -- 110.96
USDA -- 124

Not sure in the end who will be correct but last year with this report CONAB was the worst.
Just some things to think about as one moves forward with their marketing plan. | |
