Not a political question, but rather a mechanical/technical question.
How much power do the Electric Vehicle chargers require? The "supercharged" ones like Tesla kiosks have? A home plug-in model?
Will our current 16-20 kw whole house, standby generators handle the load of charging the car when the power is out without having to sacrifice current running necessities?
