Subject: New Holland 94C Draper

Central Kansas
We have run our 36' New Holland/Honeybee draper for two years (2200 acres) and the rubber bushings on the gauge wheels have pounded out already. We got new ones but are worried that if we put them in they will do the same thing! I think it could be because of to much pressure on the wheels. We do all wheat and have to go down on the ground to get some and then up 12" or so. So when we have it set to run on auto header height at the 12" and come to a down spot we have to go down to get it. We have been looking at trying to do something so we can adjust the stubble height from in the cab. Does anyone run the hydraulic header fore and aft tilt? If so do you get much range in stubble height from rolled all the way back to tipped foward? Also John Deere's new draper offers hydraulic adjust on the gauge wheels is there anything of this sort for the New Holland/Honeybee? Thanks Josh
