South Central Kansas | I live within an hours drive of Yoder Kansas which is an Amish/Mennonite community. A few years ago I remember driving by a cemetery in that area where the gravestones were set out east/west and the graves were north/south.
I haven't been able to find that cemetery, although I haven't looked very hard.
I have searched on the internet and have found nothing about any cemetery laid out like that. I assume it is because the Amish are to be "peculiar" and do things differently than the world.
Can anyone shed any light on this? | |
