Subject: Vertical tillage tool?

Central Kansas
I'm new to VT. That's my first disclaimer. We're in central Kansas and farm primarily wheat and soybeans. All dry land. I have been thinking about VT's for a while now and not quite sure where to head in at. Not much of it done around here. We would use a disk for most of our main tillage. This past fall we had us a time of it getting soybeans out of the field. Left some tracks. My question is if a VT would work to go over our bean ground to help close up the tracks and get it in shape to plant. I'm also wondering about using it for our wheat ground. We sometimes burn off our wheat stubble when it is so heavy. Then I would like to try going over that with a VT. I know that is not necessarily what they are designed to be used for.... But? Really my question is there is a lot of VT's out there and what have you found? I want the good the bad and the ugly.... Pulling it with a JD 8335r. TIA.
