My opinion is certainly jaded from the cow calf sector.
Around here there is some scary prices. 1665 lb pair with a 250 pound fat bull calf . They couldn’t get 850, backed up to 750 and couldn’t get that. Fat cow too mind you but she was marked old. A friend bought her for 650 baby and all. She would have and could have brought 3000 4-5 yrs ago.
