Subject: Grafting calf to weaned off cow

Anyone with experience in this scenario?

Twin colored calves, one isn’t getting enough milk and has to be bottle-fed. Other calves weaned off cows in the last 2 to 3 weeks. Cows are out with free choice hay and cleaning up corn fields.

It would be hard on the cow, but I was thinking of grafting the calf on to one of the other cows. Is she still lactating after two or three weeks? How hard would it be on the cow to keep milking?

I tried searching on this but came up kind of empty.

Thanks
