It's (the golden ratio) good for rectangles so I can deduce that a 12" tall box is going to be 19.416 long. However if I use that same formula for the depth of the box I end up with a square, which I don't want. I want a box that is longer than it is deep (or wide whichever you call it).
I was trying to find some way to determine the depth dimension so that it will look good.
Any suggestions?
