Subject: Pouring side walk cost?

NEIN
Have always done most of my own flat work in cement as I worked and learned it when I was young. Priced a small job on my rental house doing side walk and small patio and one step using about five yards. When I worked generally it was three times the cost of materials. So five yards is $600 cost times 3 equals $1,800. The quote I just got was the five yards at a total of $3,800 and I was taking out the old, providing any fill stone needed and re rod for the whole thing and me helping form and pour and finish. Seems pretty high for a simple job. Wish I wasn't getting old. What is pricing like other places? Thanks.
