Follow up to this thread https://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=796838&posts=9... , ended up bringing the 38 home. The 35 wss pretty rough and the knives were about done. This 38 has the newer green head, good knives, and the fan liner was replaced. It is still well worn but for $450 I thought I would take it home. Biggest thing wrong is the feed auger to the blower is pretty ugly. The guy had it built up with concave wire and brazing but it isn't a quality repair. Any idea if you can get a poly repair liner for the auger fighting? We havent done silage on our farm in the past but my grandpa used to.
