north central Iowa, Hampton | The Franklin Cty Fair in Hampton, IA had an antique tractor pull today. At the same time, the guys over at Grandpa’s Farm had their 8 team horsepower set up on a thrasher.
Someone had the bright idea to try hooking a couple teams to the sled, just to see... without real pulling shoes, and not a lot of preparation, the horses managed 3.07 feet before the evener gave up. (Sled was on its wheels)
Sled owner said I’ve had almost everything in front of me, but never horses!

If you’re close enough, the real horse pull is Sunday at 1:00.
