Subject: Bad yields in Europe

Bavaria/Germany
Harvest did start this week in middle Europe.
SeemĀ“s it will be nearly a desaster on grains and raps seeds.
Harvest did start with interbarley ca 4 weeks earlier as normal, wheat did start las t few days and the results show ca 40% below normal.
Norther Germany will be below ca 50 % below normal.
Across Europe the weather has beren more than abnormal. February and March it was unusally cold without any vergetation. THan End of MArch weather changed and we did not have a spring. Weahter turned within 4 days to summer with high temperatures and no rain. Just localy some heavy thunderstorms in May.
Biggest Problem is now, that many fields are burning. Just a hot header finger causes fire! Everywhere are firefighters on stand by. Most farmers have tractors with horrows beside the filds when they combine!

And so prices do currently more or less explode! Feed barley and low prodein wheat for feeds is currently more expensive as high quality protein milling wheat!
