Subject: Good ag day news..

S.C. Kansas
Had a couple guys, one from farm bureau and the other worked
for an ag oriented business...don't remember now. Anyway, both
were concerned about both the farm bill and the tariffs situation,
but both said the existing markets were strong and countrys were
buying commodities with tariffs imposed...maybe not as much as
before. Interesting, one noted that farmers are in the fields now
and there is a shortage of labor. The machinery mike show or what-
ever its called...auction action. Lordy, Used combines going for
around and over a half million. Sprayers going for a quarter mil.
How do you do it? Even with 9$ beans, 5$ wheat and 3.50$ corn,
Dad told me back in the 70s, with expenses wheat farmers
needed 6$ wheat...to break even. That when a gallon of gas was
30 cents.
