Subject: 89 and 91 year old siblings visit their old home

Kingdom of Callaway - Fulton, Mo 65251
My aunt, uncle, and my dad (deceased) were raised in a house in town. They lived there during the depression, and other family members rented rooms from them as needed until they got back on their feet. They always had wonderful memories of being happy in that house. My grandparents built a new house on their farm in the early sixties, and sold the house.

The house recently was sold again, and the new owners are remodeling it. I called and got permission for us to walk through it while it is empty. I had always wanted to see where my dad was born. My uncle and aunt gave us a tour explaining where furniture was, and what each room was for. It was really emotional for everyone.

It was a lot of fun seeing 90 year old folks showing us the alley where they ran over a rat with a bicycle, the place in the basement where the model A was parked, and the hidey-hole in the basement where my uncle kept his pistol he carried on his trap line before school.
