Subject: Cows on turnips and radishes

Coastal South Carolina
I know I am late to the game but that is life.

I turned some cows out on some mature radishes and turnips and rye cover crop today. The cows hunted through the mix and grazed the rye but would not seem to eat turnips or radishes. I limited them to two hours on this mix. I intend to continue control grazing this mixture. They have never been exposed to this selection before. They have all the hay they can eat in racks all day. My question is how long before they will start eating this mixture?

TIA
