Subject: Planter Gauge wheels RID?

EC ND
Came across a bunch of new case gauge wheels from a titan store that was closing and we picked them up cheap. My dad wants to place them on our white planter and I wouldn't mind converting it over so the wheels can be removed by a single bolt instead of removing the whole arm but after some more reading it looks like changing the style of wheel may be a bad deal. Please let me know if you have experience in this and have seen good or bad results. I am sure it may depend on soil type but there is a reason that only case runs that style of wheel. Ill attach photos that show the difference in the old vs new wheel.

TIA
