Subject: Feeding beef cattle flex auger

Redickville, Ont
Anyone ever done it. Have some old two storey barns in great shape and wondering about putting flex augers in to feed the calves and stockers. I feed fats on self feeder. Small operation 70 cow calf and finish them out depending on price of cattle or feed. Trying to get away from pails hard to do in two storey. Thinking cut holes in auger same as you would for pigs or poultry but instead drop feeders just have it drop into a feeder. Just trying to figure out how you would meter it and with no drop feeders would it feed the same amount along the length of the auger. Likely have to drill different size holes along way.
