Central Texas | Last Saturday bought a supposedly 6 mo bred cow for $.55/lb. This morning when go out I find a nice gray calf near one end of corral and the 3 cows are at other end. When I go to that end to try and figure out which is mom, I find little red calf. Mom is not friendly at all but manage to get calves on opposite side of gate from mom and tubed both with colostrum to be safe. Pretty sure she will take gray bull but not sure about red heifer so may have bottle calf for a while. Oh the joy of twins.
