Graymont Illinois | I have had something tripping or tipping over my live trap, and eating all the dog food bait. Today I was in my shed, where I keep my trap.I could not find the trap. I assumed my cousin or friends must have borrowed it. When I drove by my mailbox, I saw the trap and a raccoon in my yard. That raccoon had rolled that trap somewhere between 200-300 feet from where I set the trap. The trap was upright when I first saw it, then I went to the house to get my .22 rifle. When I got back the trap was on its side. The raccoons feet were pretty torn up. The shed in the background is where I set the trap, the side door was open when the raccoon made his rolling escape. I still cannot believe he did this.
