West Central Wisconsin | Noticed a hen pheasant running down the corn rows ahead of combine yesterday. I could see glimpses of yellow about it's head and thought maybe someone had released some exotic breed. When it got out on the headland it stopped and turned and I was able to see it had one of those yellow plastic "blinders" they put on captive birds so they don't peck at their pen mates. This bird was large and healthy but will that thing fall off or is it destined to be supper for Wiley coyote? | |
