| Talked to a guy today that had some cows for sale. Said he was located North of Great Falls, MT half way to Canadian border. He told me that the owner of the Glasgow salebarn was on the radio telling people to sort off anything that would get sorted off your bigger bunch that you are selling, in other words, any odds or ends, because they are having trouble getting a decent price for them. He told people to just keep them home for a while and see if things straighten out. He cited a small package of 300# black heifer calves that they ended up selling them by the head for little or nothing. Note: a 3 weight calf up there this time of year is very odd and you are not likely to put even a trailer full together so take this into consideration. This is coming from a guy that wants to sell some cows and had no reason to stretch the truth. But, I wasn't there so I don't know what to think. When we get some more stories like that then the bottom will be near. | |
