sc ks | I have a spring seeded alfalfa stand that is thick with pigweeds and marestail. I planned to wait til full bloom to swath it but the weeds are big and about to make seed. The stand sucks too so planning on seeding another pass this fall. Could I swath now to minimize weed seed production without hurting the hay too much? If so would swathing high reduce the stress to the hay? Some is blooming and some is barely 3 inches tall. | |
