Subject: 17' wheat crop

Ok, neighbor stopped by last night, he has a 15 acre field that has been laying in grass/weeds that he has kept bush hogged. I used to farm it, probably last year was in 03' he asked me to put it out in wheat for him this fall, I'm not sure how I should go about this or even if it should be attempted. I've never planted wheat on anything accept soybean stubble. I'm thinking maybe go over there soon, moldboard plow it and get it worked down level, then wait til October and work it again and plant the wheat. Tell me if this is right wrong or stupid lol. Thanks in advance.
