Ridgway, IL | Just finished up putting away this years wheat and straw crop. Have been short bedding for 6 months cause didn't make enough last year. I prefer to not have to try and stretch my bedding and just use it as needed.
We had 275 ac wheat, and got around 650 5x6 rounds. Also I bought 300 round bales from another farmer. We had 2 pioneer varieties of wheat... 1 got hit with rust, but surprised me by making 75bpa. The other variety resisted the rust better and made 85bpa. Very happy with those yields. Have been planting the double crop beans and firing up the irrigation systems.
