now that we have pictures to prove no till doesn't work what are guys going to do?*** what if no one tried anything new? when the first tractor came to the area I am sure when it broke down the old horse guys at the coffee shop picked on the guy. couple years later bugs worked out of the tractor and now he is rolling. strip till and no till will be the same thing. give that neighbor some time to get things figured out. in a couple years when I am getting my normal yield with a lot less investment that seems to be a winner to me. those types of posts really get under my skin. what kind of person ( and by person I mean F'tard) takes pictures of his neighbors and puts them on the web and bashes them? if you see a neighbor having an issue why not visit with him to see if he needs help figuring something out. I am new at going away from conventional corn. I did a couple years of no till and had a couple of my best corn. but also had some of my worst corn and many little issue to address. strip till is addressing them issues and so far looks a lot better then no till in the field and conventional till on paper and horse power. when going away from conventional some of your favorite hybrids might not be your favorite anymore. in conventional weeds are a non issue. for non conventional I learned this year that spraying is now going to be the first process of the season. don't need fancy chemicals. simple round up or a pre. once you see tiny green plants and think I can get the crops in then spray didn't work. them tiny plants got real big and thick by the time I got to spray them. not complaining just wasn't the smoothest spring I have had.
