Subject: JB weld in sprayer pump

Morris, IL
Had some trouble with pump on my JD 6500, seems like it rusted out between the pump threads and a bleeder plug. I cleaned it out good, put a hex bolt in place, and used JB weld to seal it up. Anyone care to guess how long this will last dealing with chemicals? It held up to 100psi today no problem, if look at it it really looks like it will hold good, should have got some pictures before i put it together. Kind of just wondering if i should get replacement ordered and put in place after i finish post corn tomorrow (I'm not paying JD 1044$ so going to take little time). Will chemicals eat it up in no time. Or if this will last the year. I have 4 tanks of corn to do tomorrow, then beans at some point in next few weeks, maybe little bit of fungicide and UAN if things look good and i get my Y drops built. Should have taken a picture, it really turned out good for such a patch job.
