Subject: JD box drill hitch wear repair

We are considering making a hitch repair kit for the JD 750, 1560, and 1590 that have the caster wheel hitches. The problem with these drills are when the hitch (tongue) gets some wear in the hinge point, the drill will wonder on the road and will tend to track to the down hill side when planting. Our kit will require some machining and welding at a local shop or in our shop. Our kit will consist of a new longer pivot pin, two special made bushings to be installed in the hitch and welded in place. The new wear surface will be 125% wider than the OEM surface. Price is still in the working stage, but the kit will be approx. $125 per kit.
If you want to bring your hitch to our shop the machine work and welding would be $100. New hitches and pivot pins would cost about $1200.00.

If these parts or service would interest you please, drop us a line. [email protected] www.greendrills.com

Thanks, Shopmanbob
