Subject: HELP! JD 4830 won't start

Hi all,
So I backed on the trailer a few minutes ago and when I idled the sprayer down the engine was surging. Prior to this today I had noticed nothing. 15 minutes later it won't start. When the key is on I do hear a hum, which I assume is fuel pump?? Is there some sort of shut off solenoid bad? TIA for any help!
