Eastern North Carolina | Saw a guy yesterday running a 5 shank DMI inline ripper between the rows of his corn that is v4-v6. No fert tanks or anhydrous attached. To the best of my knowledge, that is an uncommon practice. Does anyone else know about why you'd do that? It looked really slow & I'd be concerned about root damage. We've been wet, so maybe he was just trying to open up the ground in a wet spot, just curious to see if any others do this as a regular practice. It's not uncommon around here for guys to run an inline at an angle & then "no-till" plant several weeks later, just never seen it in crop,
