Subject: Can a Holstein be polled?

NE Iowa
We do about 100 holstein bucket calves a year, the boyz and I were dehorning a group today and I came across one with no horns, it was a sale barn calf, nothing special, about 4 weeks old. Been doing this for about 5 years now and never run across one, have seen some that had the paste applied early in life and there is still a nubbin there. Today there was nothing, just like when I have an Angus we bucket feed (not often but does happen some).

Anybody with more experience or knowledge know if that is common?
