Subject: Dad's experiment (pics)

SW, Missouri
Monday morning dad pulled a dead calf out of a heifer, leg and head both turned back. Well, he got on the phone with his brother my uncle and he was bragging how he had a holstein cow that had just had twins. They talked awhile and concocted a plan to put one on the beef heifer. I was very animated in that I was against this plan as I thought it was a waste of time. Dad said it's worth a try so I said go for it. Dad raised dairy calves on nurse cows for years so it wasn't anything new for him. Here's a couple pictures, so far so good. Still keeping then penned up though.
