![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=4171&type=profile&rnd=243) Gettysburg, PA | One of our most "passionate" cover cropping farms in the county was finishing up their cover crop planting into wheat stubble yesterday. The mix was sunflowers, crimson clover, buckwheat, cereal rye, tillage radish, hairy vetch and barley. We also took a look at some corn planted into last years cover crop (a similar mixture). All that is apparent at this time is the rye residue, but, it is one heck of a nice mat. Haven't had any appreciable rain in two weeks (until an inch last nite), but there was still plenty of moisture in all that thatch.
