So If one is close to the end of their farming career and used 179 and installed tile how would that tile be looked at in a step up in basis on the land if one passed away and their children inherited the land??
I could see where on could use 179 for the last 3 years of a farming career and essentially transfer 1.5million tax free to your children
or am I really missing something - which happens alot | |
