| Up here in Canada, our dollar is weaker so the basis for cash corn was around +70cents. I sold the march basis for around +60cents so now I can watch the March futures and not pay storage. (I have no storage capacity)
I guess I figure our dollar may get closer to par with the US dollar so the basis will weaken accordingly.
What can go right/wrong? In layman's terms, please.
I sold about half of harvested corn when it was delivered and the other half just the basis. I am looking for some marketing advice. Thanks.
