SC Mn | Was made aware today that my choices for some sort of cover crop after peas(and manure) was severely limited based on my pre applied herbicides.
I used Optil/Prowl. My choices for cover are either soybeans or oats but oats only after 4 months from herbicide app and even then might get dinged because of herbicide.
Anybody used soybeans as a green plowdown? Will there be any advantage to this-was trying to sequester N from early manure application.
