| Not sure I QUITE understand all the dustup about the SNL skit from last Saturday night. The one where the Dad takes his daughter off to the airport.
It's a spoof of a Toyota commercial where a Dad was delivering his daughter to the airport so she can fly off to join the military.
In THIS spoof, she's heading off in an armed pickup truck with some (apparent) terrorists to join ISIS.
The inane incongruity of it all caused me to think it was tacky.......but funny. And SNL has been dealing in tacky subject matter for 40 years. This wasn't much different.
Perhaps my sensibilities are warped. I can find LOTS of things in the world to be MORE offended about. What did you think? showboat | |
