Northwest kansas | After getting home a little early from school yesterday, I go out to feed my cows. As I am opening up the gate for my feed truck, I notice a white 4 door half ton chevrolet pickup pulling in, no mud. I start to wonder who this is, and then the window rolls down. He introduces himself as the banker, or as I call him, the collateral banker. He takes me down to my feed truck and follows me into the pasture and counts the cows. He ends up with 30. I know none have died and I have sold none, so I am confused but I go on about showing him all of the collateral our farm has. Today when I am feeding my cows I notice 4 tiny legs on the other side of the cow. The cow moves out of the way, and I see him standing there, all bucking and raring to go. This makes me so happy, she was able to calve out by herself yesterday.
