The university of Nebraska has a cowcalf research farm not far from beatrice, the university decided to sell their herd of approx 195head bred cows, due to calve march 1, the coming 3yr old blacks due with 2nd calf weighing 1100lbs sold for $2700-$2850, they also sold the heifer calves from these cows today during regular feeder cattle sale, heifers at. 567lbs right off the cows, haven't heard yet price on the heifer calve
