Subject: Damage from early rains

WC MN
I'm not trying to kill the crop, but trying to remember how much of the nw corn belt had tough looking corn in June? I know Clay did a good job of detailing his thoughts on it but how much of an area were we talking about.

My point to this is we had water damage early and from the road it looks like it all evened out and caught up. The let down is when you walk into the fields and see zippered ears and more tip back than I thought we would have. We were also dry early July through about august 10th. I think we will still have a decent crop but I think in my area of WC MN that the late season rains we have gotten have made people forget about what the crop looked like earlier.

I know we have a huge crop and Illinois is huge. Just trying to decipher if Iowa and Minnesota live up to the hype this year. Perhaps they will.
