Subject: Small Square Bales Spontaneously Combusting

Northwest ohio
I was down to the neighbors last night, they were pushing bailing to get done before the rain that was coming. When I got there to help unload the bales I seen they were really wet, you could feel the moisture out of them easily. I got the tester prob and tested some bales and got a lot of readings in the high 20's and 30's and found some bales that had green slugs like it had just been mowed. Some of the bales had to weigh close to 150 pounds. This was first cutting mostly orchard grass, oats and some alfalfa. They had about 400 bales already in the hay mow when I got there, do you think this wet of hay will just heat and mold or is going to be major problem?
