Subject: Malt Barley Nitrogen Management Help

I normally put down all of my nitrogen at seeding, about 110 units (actual) and figure another 25 units (actual) or so in the ground. This spring I'm thinking next year will be soybeans on this ground, so I'm considering spreading 300 pounds (product) of 11-52-00. If I spread this now, will I recieve any tillering kick on the barley, or will I be adding to protein (bad thing for Malt, I need <13pro to make grade)? Barley is about 4 leaf stage I think and growing fast.
