Subject: Ford 4.6 throws a plug

I run a 01 f150 with the 4.6 in it. Gets a lot of miles on it -- Does a fair amount of hauling during planting season moving seed around, but other than that it's a highway truck. Tonight she threw a plug on #7 -- plug looked fine, and I carry an extra coil pack (one I'd changed that was getting weak) and drove her home. Plug seemed to snug up good, do I dare run it without having the guys put the thread insert deal in that they do -- local guy costs $200. Thinking it may be time for a trade too as this is the 2nd plug I've lost in 6 months - previous was #6. I've got to run it tomorrow -- but Monday I need to haul some seed around, thinking I should maybe take the other pickup as its about a 100 mile run hauling 6500#. Be the shoots if I lost it again 50 miles from home.
