Subject: I had to stop and scratch my head....

Fayette Co, Iowa
Im in N/E Iowa, Had to run and gets some parts this afternoon, (20 miles from home). So I headed home and did some gravel traveling off the beaten path. I saw a finisher running 1 round ahead of a 16 row planter... Again ground temps at 2 inches today was 43 degrees, 1 to 1.5 of rain in the next 24 hours, Highs this weekend will struggle to make 50... And the biggest thing is I watched the planter chase the finisher!!And there was those dark spots where you could see the tile lines in the field! My daughter (13 yrs old) even said "dad it looks wet in spots" I had to laugh and say, I don't know what hes thinking..lol I was ALWAYS told never ever chase the planter, UNLESS the ground is dry and "warm".....
