What is the advantage of the helix reel TMR mixer vs a straight 5 bar reel mixer? Same question on the Roto-Mix staggered rotor. We are looking for a new mixer and don't know if there is something to the new systems. We feed a silage based ration with byproducts, concentrates, 15 lbs WBG and 1 lb straw. We have heard the helix does a better job with a full mixer, i.e. the mixer can be fuller and still mix.
