The Far East...of Nebraska. | We are a no-till operation. We have some spots that have water going to a pivot but don't water the corners, odd patches, etc. There are also some creek bottoms set up similarly (minus the pivot).
There are very slight waves that make me wonder if water would follow a cultivated furrow over the top.
Does anyone irrigate using pipe or poly without cultivating? What if I ran poly on top of a ridge and ran water both ways off of it?
One last question, can I use metal and poly in the same setup. Use poly on the flat parts and metal any time there is a slight rise?
Just trying to maximize irrigated acres without changing up a whole system.
