Subject: Case 4430 Sprayer first impressions

Central West Western Australia

Htheaving had the 4430 for a few weeks now and having sprayed a couple thousand ac in varying conditions I feel I can probably make a few comments on what I think of it

Firstly pros

The cab, it's so quiet

It rides very smooth, in my opinion it's better than the 4930 I drove in October

Boom stability is very good

Autosteer is very good at the speed I spray at (27km/hr)

It seems to have plenty of power

Time will tell but it uses less fuel than I was thinking it would

The one button fold for the boom is nice

The rate controller works well and responds quickly (this machine doesn't have AIM)

The cruise control and not having to shift through gears or speed ranges

Now for the cons

The control handle should have more functions on it (they definitely need a dedicated autosteer button and section control on the handle)

The swath map on the pro700 needs to be able to be zoomed out, this is a pet hate of mine whether it be in a tractor, header or sprayer

The sheer number of grease nipples and the intervals, or if there's going to be that many it should have banks of nipples with lines going to the lube point

Here's a few things I wish the sprayer had

The ability to open/close the sparge from the fill control panel

A fuel usage readout, it just seems stupid not to have one with this much tech in one machine

An indicator to show when the wheels are either narrowed in or spread out

A dedicated hand wash tank rather than using the flush tank

I haven't done any night spraying yet so I don't know what the lights are like and there's definitely no mud around here so not sure what it's like in the wet either, I'll probably think of other things as I go but that's a general idea of it anyway. My overall impression is that it's a very good machine and I'm happy with it

I also posted this on TCF, apologies if you read it twice

Steve
