Subject: Field finishers

SW MINNESOTA
Wondering what guys think of field finishers (field cultivator with disk gang in front) compared to a field cultivator? I know on my ground a tandem disk can be the worse tool to use in the spring if a little wet, end up with a lumpy compacted mess. Is the disk on the finisher different or can it compact too? I run all corn on corn and thought it might cut and mix residue a little more than a field cultivator.
